Healthy Eats January Challenge is a go!
This month there is a new challenge each week. This week the challenge is to eat breakfast every day.
I confess this isn’t a huge challenge for me. Breakfast is my favorite meal and I almost never skip it. So I added an extra layer to the challenge for myself. I am resolving to eat breakfast at home every day.
There are a few reasons for this:
It starts the day right. When I have time to eat breakfast at home it means I’ve had enough time to start my morning right. On days when I am rushing out the door, I never eat at home. Eating at home means I have to be more disciplined in the morning. I have to wake up early enough to make time for breakfast. Planning an earlier wake-up time means getting to bed early enough too. 
It’s cheaper. Eating at home saves money. No question.
It’s healthier. I’m always making a smarter choice when I am cooking for myself rather than grabbing something available near work. 
I’m still struggling with waking up early enough. It’s hard to get out of a warm bed and face the cold morning, but I’ve been on track so far this week with eggs (Tuesday) and oatmeal (Wednesday) in rotation.
